EDGE Hockey Performance is a blade service built for youth hockey, working out of a sharpening room inside Rosemont Ice Arena, between the locker rooms and the Zamboni room. Its main business is weekly blade management for players on participating teams: EDGE collects the steel through the team, sharpens it, checks it and returns it to the locker room, with each player’s hollow and profile kept on file.

Players without a team membership can buy a single sharpening online and bring their skates or removable steel to the room. The room is not staffed at fixed walk-in times, so confirm a time with EDGE before you go.

EDGE also offers profiling, starting from an assessment of the player’s current setup. Oakton Sports Complex in Park Ridge is about two miles away, and Gunzo’s in Morton Grove and IceLand in Niles are a short drive north-east.

Sharpens: profiling / contouring. Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
