What this place is
Pure Hockey’s Schaumburg store, a limited goalie store.
Pure Hockey Schaumburg
Pure Hockey’s Schaumburg store is a big box with a white facade on Barrington Road in the north-west suburbs. The Triphahn Center ice arena in Hoffman Estates is about two miles away, and Elk Grove Ice Arena and the two Rolling Meadows rinks are within about seven.
The chain lists it as a limited goalie location, so goalies who need the full range should plan on the Downers Grove store instead. Jerry’s Hockey, a long-running local shop, has its own Schaumburg store a few miles south-east, which gives players a second counter to compare.
Drop a pair at the service counter and run an errand nearby: as at every Pure Hockey, staff can text you when the skates are sharpened. Keep the receipt from a new pair; it helps if the fit needs a second look.
Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
Skates for sale
Hockey equipment; a limited goalie range.
Repairs
Skates fixed at the store’s service center.
