What this place is
A DICK'S Sporting Goods store whose page lists skate services.
DICK'S Sporting Goods Brighton
Out at Green Oak Village Place, on the Livingston County edge of the metro, this DICK’S Sporting Goods is one of the Detroit-area stores whose page lists skate services. It is a general sporting goods store rather than a hockey shop.
The BIGGBY COFFEE Ice Cube in Brighton is about a mile away, so a family can buy skates here and be on the ice at a public session the same day. Pure Hockey has a store at the Ice Cube itself for hockey players who want a specialist.
The chain says services vary by store, and the skate services are tied to a skate purchase, so call before bringing in skates bought elsewhere. Hartland Ice House is about nine miles north for families in the northern part of the county.
For a beginner, the free fitting adjustment with a new pair is as useful as the edge, because a skate that fits well is easier to learn in.
Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
Fitting & heat molding
Fitting adjustments, free with a skate bought at the store.
