What this place is
Pure Hockey’s Taylor store; its page carries the April 2026 announcement that Pure Hockey bought Perani’s Hockey World.
Pure Hockey Taylor
Pure Hockey’s Taylor store, in a strip plaza on Eureka Road, is a former Perani’s Hockey World store, one of those the chain bought in April 2026; its store page carries the announcement, and older photos show the Perani’s sign over the windows. It is the chain’s only store Downriver.
Pure Hockey bought Perani’s, and it says this store keeps its familiar staff while gaining the chain’s skate services. Taylor Sportsplex, with B&R Sports’ pro shop inside, is about a mile and a half north, and Southgate Arena is about two miles east.
The chain can text you when a pair is sharpened, so skates can be dropped off on the way to a practice at either rink and picked up afterwards.
Sharpens: profiling / contouring. Not stated: hockey, goalie, figure, speed / long-track, recreational & rental.
Skates for sale
Hockey equipment, with a limited range of goalie gear.
Fitting & heat molding
Skate fitting, sharpening and profiling, which Pure Hockey says the former Perani’s stores now offer.
Repairs
Skates fixed at the store’s service center.
