Dryden arena built in 1978-79 and renovated 2020-23, home of the SIJHL's Ice Dogs

Dryden Memorial Arena was built in 1978-79. The building underwent major renovations between 2020 and 2023. It is home to the Dryden Ice Dogs, one of the charter teams of the Superior International Junior Hockey League. Delroy Montaque is the club's general manager and head coach.
The Ice Dogs were one of the league's original five teams. Under Bill Salonen's management they won the first Bill Salonen Cup in the league's inaugural 2001-02 season. That spring they won the league and went on to the Dudley Hewitt Cup, where they lost. In 2006 they finished third in the Dudley Hewitt Cup round robin. They won further league championships in 2008, 2017 and 2018. In 2023 the Ice Dogs hired a historian to curate the club's history in a book, which was expected to be finished during the 2023-24 season.
