An Olympic-standard four-rink centre in Xiaotangshan
Century Star International Winter Sports Center stands inside the Jiuhua Resort in Xiaotangshan Town, Changping, and covers more than 20,000 square metres. It has four real-ice rinks built to Olympic standards, and the centre says they suit provincial, national and international competition in figure skating, short-track speed skating, ice hockey and curling.
Around the ice are a ski simulator, a gym, a dance room, a basketball hall, a sports rehabilitation room and a dining and coffee area, and the centre calls itself a one-stop, family-style, experiential winter sports complex. It teaches children from 4 to 18 and adults, one-to-one and in groups, and takes students to national grade tests, competitions and training camps. In December 2022 the Beijing sports bureau and education commission named it one of the city's youth off-campus ice and snow activity centres.
