A volunteer-run hall renovated in 2010, home of the Dinslaken Kobras
After extensive renovation in 2010 the Eis-Sporthalle Dinslaken counts as one of the best-equipped ice halls in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is run by the non-profit Eis-Sporthalle Dinslaken gemeinnützige GmbH, and its team consists largely of young people and adults who work as volunteers to keep the hall going.
Besides public sessions and club training, the hall stages large events such as the well-known Eismärchen of the Eistheaterschule Dinslaken, and parties for young people at skating times: single parties, après-ski parties and music nights. The volunteers also build a Halloween special every year with a horror tunnel, and DJs run the Eisdisco with light effects.
The Dinslaken Kobras play ice hockey here with a first team and a youth side, and the hobby teams Dolphins, Nighthawks and Alaskan Malamuts train in late evening or early morning slots.
