A 2,500-seat arena with Zamboni-resurfaced ice, mass skating through the season and a summer thaw
No public skating is posted for the next 7 days. New sessions show here as soon as the rink posts them.
The Paryshev Ice Palace in Kurgan opened on 6 September 2001 as the Mostovik Ice Palace. Builders put up the 2,500-spectator arena in eight months, and the first match on its ice paired HC Mostovik, today's HC Zauralye, against Gazovik Tyumen. In 2010 the building took the name of Nikolai Vasilyevich Paryshev, and a second block finished in 2019 added dressing rooms for the hockey team and new training halls. The premises cover 6,183 square metres.
A compressor plant keeps the ice at the right temperature, the water is filtered by reverse osmosis, and Zamboni machines flood and clear the surface. The ice sheet can be covered and fitted with extra seats for concerts. It is the official home arena of HC Zauralye, a team in the VHL championship.
Beyond professional sport, the palace holds regular mass-skating sessions, a gym and a fitness hall. In summer the ice is thawed and the floor is covered for mini-football and volleyball.
