A covered arena kept at 8 to 10 degrees, with Sunday evening mass skating and family and themed sessions
The Orlyonok sports palace in Perm belongs to the Orlyonok Olympic reserve school and sits at 47 Sibirskaya Street. Its mass skating is described as fun with friends or a romantic evening on a covered rink where the temperature is always above freezing. The session runs every Sunday from 20:00 to 22:00.
The air in the arena is kept at 8 to 10 degrees, so the school suggests a light jacket or sweater and a soft hat for children. Coats and shoes go to the cloakroom, bags and valuables are not stored, and visitors may not bring drinks or food onto the ice.
Everyone moves counter-clockwise round the big circle, with children and parents with children in the middle, and jumps and spins are banned. Besides the Sunday sessions the palace holds family skating called Warm Ice, with a calendar published in August, and themed skating before holidays with a host and small contests.
