Zuchwil's 1,800 m² ice hall, Regiobank Arena since 2022, becomes the Aarehalle for events in spring
For the latest skating dates, check the rink’s official information.
The Sportzentrum Zuchwil opened in 1974 with its open-air and indoor pools. Later there was a wish to extend it with an artificial ice rink and to turn the centre into a limited company, which was done in 1982, and many renovations and additions have followed to suit the needs of residents and clubs. The municipality and the Sportzentrum Zuchwil AG work closely together on the financing of operation and investment under a service agreement.
The ice hall measures 1,800 square metres, beside a triple sports hall of 900 square metres. Since 1 January 2022 it has been called Regiobank Arena, under a ten-year naming-rights agreement between the Sportzentrum Zuchwil AG and the Regiobank Solothurn AG. In May and June the ice hall turns into the Aarehalle, where school-leaving ceremonies, concerts, fairs and bank general meetings take place with up to 2,000 seats.
The centre also welcomes training camps from many different sports, and it celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open day on 31 August 2024.
