Albertville's two-sheet youth hockey arena

STMA Arena in Albertville is the home rink of the St. Michael-Albertville Youth Hockey Association, which in 2015 had more than 500 players sharing a single sheet of ice. That year the association reached the final four of Kraft Hockeyville, and its prize money went toward adding a second sheet.

The second sheet, one of the more contentious pieces of the school district's $30 million 2017 bond, opened on November 27, 2018, when a standing-room-only crowd watched the STMA Knights, the previous season's Section 8AA champions, play Monticello.

The arena now has the Gold Rink on its north side and the Blue Rink on the south, used by the STMA Knights and North Wright County RiverHawks high school teams. The association's girls first reached a state tournament in 2004-05, its 14U A girls won the state title in 2011 as the River Hawks, and its 2013 Peewee AA team reached the Minnesota Hockey State Tournament.
