Pure Hockey’s Wake Forest store has its own entrance inside a large building on South Main Street, which it shares with Polar Ice Wake Forest, so players can pick up tape, a stick or a new pair of skates right before or after a session on the ice.
It is the chain’s store for the north side of the Triangle. Polar Ice Raleigh is about ten miles south, and the other Pure Hockey in the area, in Morrisville, is about twenty miles away on the far side of the city.
Staff at the service counter sharpen and fix skates, and they can text you when your pair is done. Being in the same building as the rink makes it easy to drop a pair on the way in and collect them after practice.
