What this place is
Markham Sk8 Shop’s counter inside Angus Glen Community Centre, on street level by the west entrance; one of the shop’s three Markham locations.

The Angus Glen counter is Markham Sk8 Shop’s outpost in north Markham, on street level by the west entrance of the community centre, so you pass it on the way in from the parking lot. It handles the same range of blades as the shop’s Yorktech Drive workshop, from learn-to-skate skates to competitive figure blades, and every pair is sharpened by hand.
On weekend public skates it also works as a rental desk, which makes it an easy first stop for a family trying the ice for the first time. Blades that need profiling are done at the shop’s other two locations, so plan ahead if you want a new profile before a season starts.
Crosby Memorial Community Centre is about 2 km south, and Centennial Community Centre in Markham is the next indoor rink after that.
Sharpens: hockey, goalie, figure, recreational & rental. Not stated: speed / long-track.
