What this place is
A mobile skate sharpening service with a fully equipped van, coming to homes, rinks, schools and training facilities across the GTA; booked online or by phone.
Pro Edge Mobile brings the sharpening machine to you: a van fitted out as a workshop that sets up at your door, at a rink meet-up, at a school or at a training centre anywhere in the GTA, depending on how many pairs are booked. The people behind it describe themselves as former players and hockey parents who got tired of the scramble to get skates done before the next ice time.
You book online or by phone, pick the hollow and the skate type on the form, and say where the skates will be; nobody has to be home, so a family can leave a bag at the front door or at a reception desk. Teams and groups can arrange a visit for a whole roster, with a discount for volume, and regular scheduled visits are offered too.
It handles hockey, goalie, figure and recreational skates, which makes it a practical option for a household with more than one kind of skater.
