Tydan Performance Blades (Vaughan)
Tydan Performance Blades is a Dundas-based hockey blade company that runs sharpening counters inside arenas, and its Vaughan counter is at Honey & Barry Memorial Arena on Bathurst Street in Maple. The company sells replacement player and goalie steel and offers Skatescribe’s integrated sharpening and profiling, in which the blade is laser-scanned and cut by a CNC machine to the profile, pitch and hollow on record.
Once your setup is saved in Tydan’s system, the technicians can reproduce it on the next visit or on a new pair of runners, which is useful for a player who keeps spare steel in the bag. If you are starting from scratch, Tydan offers a profile consultation first.
Elgin Barrow Arena in Richmond Hill is about 3 km away, and Rosemount and Maple community centres in Vaughan are each about 4 km.
