Drumheller's 1,800-seat arena, home of the Junior A Drumheller Dragons.
The Drumheller Memorial Arena is a standard-size 85-by-200-foot rink with seating for 1,800, standing room for 444 more and five dressing rooms. It hosts leisure, competition and league skating as well as the Drumheller Dragons, the town's Junior A team.
The Dragons were founded in 2003 and joined the Alberta Junior Hockey League as an expansion team for 2003–04, the second franchise to represent Drumheller after the Drumheller Falcons of 1979 to 1983, and they play in its South Division. Their best playoff run came in 2013–14, when they reached the final round before losing four straight games to the Spruce Grove Saints.
On Dragons game nights the concession and the Valley Brewing patio bar open, and a stage with a PA system serves the game commentators.
