Six-rink York University complex, opened in 1996 as the Beatrice Ice Gardens
The NFP Athletic Centre, a Canlan Sports Community, is the main ice rink at York University's Keele Campus. It opened in 1996 as the Beatrice Ice Gardens, with one Olympic-sized and five NHL-sized rinks. It replaced the York University Ice Palace, built in 1968. The old building had no spectator seating and has since become the Sherman Health Science Research Centre. On February 4, 2026, NFP and Canlan Sports entered a branding agreement that gave the facility its current name.
It is home to the York Lions men's and women's varsity hockey teams. It was also the home of the Toronto Six of the Premier Hockey Federation. The Six were founded in 2020, and on October 1 that year they announced a partnership with Canlan Ice Sports to play at the York rink. They won the 2023 Isobel Cup, beating the Minnesota Whitecaps 4-3 in overtime at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona.
